We finished--it took about three hours.  I'll post a write up soon, but the bike sounds much better now.  Sure enough the clutch side bolt had snapped and been banging around in there.  

The trickiest part was getting the gear/needle bearing back in the center of the flywheel.  

Maybe this evening, I'll pull the pics from the camera and post the how to.

Well I just did what was my last long ride of the year and ordered my parts yesterday so I waiting for your step by step..
